Sixth Grade/Kindergarten Buddies

The sixth graders are meeting with their kindergarten buddies on Tuesday, May 29. We are asking each sixth grade student to bring a small treat for their buddy and an age appropriate board game to play (Candyland, Hi-Ho Cherry-O, etc.). Thank you!

Late Start Mondays end June 4th

This Monday, May 21 will be the last late start Monday of the school year. School will begin at 9am on Monday June 4, and Monday, June 11.

5th and 6th Grade Class Picnic

     To celebrate the end of another fantastic school year, the fifth and sixth grade is having a class picnic at the Warren Community Center Park! Your child's class is taking this trip on Thursday, June 7th. We will walk to the park that is located next to the Warren Community Center. The students will have the day to eat, play, and socialize with their friends. Students may bring toys, games, books, sports equipment, blankets, and radios to use during the day (no cell phones, please).
    A lunch consisting of two pieces of pizza, chips, and pop is included in the price of the trip. Your child may bring additional snacks or beverages.
    Students may dress down in appropriate casual clothing. All students must wear tennis shoes (no ballet flats or sandals, please).
    A permission slip was sent home on Friday, May 11. Please sign and return the permission slip and a payment of $2.00 by Wednesday, May 23.

No School on May24

    There is no school on Thursday, May 24! Fr. Bondy has graciously given us the day off because there were no snow days used this year. Enjoy your day off!

SCHOOL CLOSING Information
For school closing information, here is a list of the television and radio stations to turn or listen to:  Television: Channel 2 Fox, Channel 4 WDIV, Channel 7 WXYZ; AM Radio: WWJ 950 & WJR 760.  Look or listen for St. Anne Catholic School or St. Anne School to be announced.  If you hear Warren Consolidated, do not assume we are closed.

**Spelling and Vocabulary Tests***     (posted on 9/13/11) 
     Due to scheduling conflicts, spelling and vocabulary tests will be on Tuesdays, not Fridays. Today, each child received a vocabulary workbook. Two weeks will be devoted to each unit in the workbook. There will be a spelling test on the first Tuesday of each two week cycle. There will be a vocabulary test on the second Tuesday of each two week cycle. Completed workbook units are due the second Tuesday of each unit cycle. Even if your child has no written homework, he or she should be studying their vocabulary words every night.
